Frequently Asked Question

You Have Questions. We Have Answers.

Paraguay is an “off-the-beaten-path” destination, so it is normal to have doubts. Whether you are coming for a 3-day adventure or a lifetime move, we believe clarity is the first step to a great trip.

The Honest Answer: Compared to its neighbors (Brazil/Argentina), Paraguay is statistically safer regarding violent crime. However, petty crime exists in major cities. Our Advice: We advise clients to avoid walking alone at night in downtown Asunción or Ciudad del Este. When you book our private drivers or tours, you are in a "bubble" of safety. We know exactly which streets are safe and which to avoid.

In Asunción: The tap water is treated and technically potable, but the mineral content is different and can upset sensitive stomachs. Our Recommendation: We strongly advise all our international clients to stick to bottled water to ensure your trip isn't ruined by a stomach bug.

Whether you need a quick tip about the weather or a quote for a 10-day expedition, Anton or Yanina will get back to you personally.

"I came to Asunción to scout investment properties and was worried about ‘Latin time.’ Anton had the itinerary planned down to the minute. The driver was professional, the car was pristine, and I got more done in 2 days than I expected to do in a week. Highly recommended for business travelers."

"We didn't want a boring history tour. Yanina understood that. She took us to a hidden ceramic workshop in Areguá where we drank Tereré with the artisan. It felt like visiting a friend, not a tour. Her eye for photography also meant we went home with incredible family photos."

"I had read horror stories about the immigration office. This team handled everything. They picked me up, walked me to the front of the line, translated every document, and bought me coffee while we waited. I felt completely protected. Worth every penny for the peace of mind."

"I was nervous to explore the Chaco alone. Yanina designed a custom itinerary that balanced adventure with safety. I never felt unsafe, and the guides they chose were respectful and knowledgeable. A boutique service that actually cares."
